An application programming interface (API) is a computing interface that defines interactions between multiple software intermediaries ( Wikipedia ). It is a piece of code that enables data transmission between one software and another. In our case, between the Exchanges where you have your accounts and Excel.
You can think about your API key as your username, and your API Secret, also referred to as API Private Key, or Private Key or Secret Key, as your password

Crypto Excel requires an API key and an API secret to ONLY to use authenticated functions. When you create an API in your exchange, you decide which authorization is associated with it. Crypto Excel requires the authorization to watch and trade. There are no functions that perform a transfer, so we do not require transfer authorization.

Yes. Crypto Excel public functions can be used without any crypto wallet or account as soon as Crypto Excel is installed.

Yes. Excel will continue to work as usual and you will not notice any difference.

You can remove/deinstall CryptoExcel at any time. Just follow the instruction here

The first beta version with all the public functions is currently available. You can use it safely without registering on the exchange. We hope to keep this part free of charge, while the functions that require authorization (automatic sending of orders) will be chargeable.
