Install CryptoExcel
This page gives you a quick overview of how to install CryptoExcel Add-In. If you need a more detailed walkthrough with screenshots, see our full installation article.
1. Requirements
Microsoft Excel 2010 or higher (Windows desktop only). How to check your Excel Version
Internet connection for exchange data
No need to install Python manually — CryptoExcel comes as standalone Python distribution with all required libraries in your
%APPDATA%folder.
2. Download CryptoExcel
Get the latest version of CryptoExcel from the Download Page.
The current beta version is free to try.
3. Install CryptoExcel Add-In
Open the downloaded folder.
Run the installer ( Install.bat. ).
The setup will:
Copy the necessary files.
Install the standalone Python distribution in
%APPDATA%.Configure Excel to load CryptoExcel.
Restart Excel.
3A. Verify Installation
Open Excel.
Look for the CryptoExcel tab in the ribbon.
Test with a sample function such as:
If the formula returns live order book data, the installation is successful.
